Born in Seattle on August 21, 1939, Myrna was known for her intelligence, strength, and kindness.
She graduated from Ballard High School and attended the University of Washington.
Myrna dedicated many years to Reliance Insurance where she was a supervisor in the Fidelity Bond Department. Her interests were varied and rich; she loved reading, visiting Lincoln City on the Oregon coast, and occasionally playing the slot machines at casinos. Dancing, being an active member of the Salmon Bay Eagles, and spending quality time with friends were among her favorite activities. Above all, Myrna cherished the time spent with her family.
She leaves behind a loving family: daughter Jamie Savage, son Scott Savage (Zayil), grandson Tyler Savage (Aldana), and brother Jim Vanderhoof Jr.
A service to honor Myrna's life will be held on November 16, 2024, at 1:00pm at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
A viewing will be available one hour prior to the service, with committal to follow at the Evergreen Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Myrna.
