Patt and Tony were lovers. After meeting at a bar in Buffalo, NY romance took off, resulting in a wedding celebration at Mohonk Mountain House in the NY Catskills. Following brief stays in Buffalo, NY and Hartford, CT, Patt and Tony ventured west to Seattle where they spent the last 40 years on Queen Anne. Patt concentrated in social work at the Pike Market Medical Clinic and Tony specialized in DNA analysis at a local crime lab - later followed by careers in ski instruction, optometry, and audio description at the Fifth Avenue Theatre. Together, their greatest achievement was the formation of Vision Loss Connections, a nonprofit serving the Puget Sound area dedicated to supporting the visually impaired or legally blind.
Both Tony and Patt found beauty and peace in the garden they cultivated together on Queen Ann. English roses and perennials flourished under their care. We will miss them but are grateful that their light and presence remain with us.
Patt’s family wishes to thank Kenny and Andrea, caregivers, who attended to Patt’s needs during her final days and hours as well as all her friends and Hospice workers who came to the house to bring meaning, focus and comfort to her end-of-life journey.
Sadly, Tony left our world on October 12, 2024 and Patt followed on March 2, 2026.
