Our loving mom, Patricia “Pat” Joan Pillitu passed away peacefully on June 21, 2025, surrounded by family, at the age of 90. Born and raised in Seattle, Pat grew up in Lake City and later moved with her family to the Queen Anne neighborhood, graduating from Queen Anne High School in 1952.
After high school, Pat and her cousin Sally joined the USO together and that’s where she met Lewis, on Halloween, 1953. Pat and Lew wrote letters to each other for almost two years before getting married in the Vatican, at the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.
In 1964, Pat and Lew purchased the house on Corliss Avenue in North Seattle. They lived there for 60 years.
Pat is survived by her four children, Steve, James, Vickie, and Tom and their spouses Karen, Kimberley and Chris, as well as her grandchildren Melissa, Ashley, Cole, Amy, Eric, and Brooke and her great grandchildren, Tegen, Evelyn, Piper, Tripp, Patrick, and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin “Red” and Madeline Powell, and her husband of 69 years, Lewis Pillitu.
