Peter Maneja Mendoza was born on June 30, 1937 in San Luis Batangas, Philippines. He graduated from The University of the East with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and became a Certified Public Accountant shortly afterwards. During college, he met his wife, Modesta Gempesaw. Together they had three children and lived in Manila. The family immigrated to the United States in 1977 and lived in Seattle, Washington.
During his spare time, Peter loved fishing and always caught all sorts of fish. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always enjoying telling stories. Peter was a devout Catholic and prayed to God every day.
He is survived by his loving wife, Modesta Mendoza; son, Joe (Sharon) Mendoza, daughters, Joy (Brian) Locke, Marivic (Brett) Weathers; and five grandchildren.
To Dad, we love you and miss you. Thank you for your greatest gift of bringing us to the United States to give us a wonderful life! May you finally rest in peace.
