

Ralph Keith Mitchell passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, WA, September 22, 2009 from complications of pneumonia at the age of 77. He was born January 22, 1932 to Fred and Adeline (Reubsum) Mitchell on a farm near Crawfordsville, IA. Upon graduating from Crawfordsville High School he was inducted into the U.S. AirForce where he served during the Korean war. Upon completion of his military service, he attended Seattle University receiving a Baccalaurate degree in accounting. He became a CPA working many years for the State of Washington; and later had his own business.
In 1975 he married Della Maloney and they were together for 31 years. They enjoyed traveling to places like Australia and Europe; and Canada for the Pope's visit. Ralph was a sports fan and enjoyed following the Seattle Mariners, Sonics, Storm and Seahawks.
He was preceded in death by his wife Della Mitchell, his parents Fred and Adeline Mitchell, six sisters and three brothers. He is survived by two stepsons, Don (Joyce) Maloney of Puyallup, WA, Dennis (Julie) Maloney of Auburn, WA, stepdaughter, Diane (John) Carlson of Marysville, WA, one brother Harold (Carol) Mitchell, Davenport, IA, and one sister, Doris (Fred) Groth, Fortine, MT and many nieces, nephews, cousins, step grandchildren and great-grand children.
