ROBERTO ARVISU MONSERRAT was born on June 7, 1936, to Antonio Suazo Monserrat and Dolores Arvisu in Nagcarlan, Laguna, Philippines. He passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 at the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
Roberto is survived by his wife, Asila Tugbang Palma, daughter Grace, son-in-law Alexander Bernardo, son Reynaldo Antonio, daughter-in-law Irma (May) Quintana, dearly beloved grandchildren Gabriel, Isabelle, Joshua, loving relatives and wonderful friends.
He was an alumnus of the University of the Philippines (Honors Curriculum)- Bachelor of Science in Agriculture - with concentration in Agriculture Chemistry and Sugar Technology; completed the extensive Farm and Home Development Work for the Department of Agricultural Economics.
Roberto has been blessed with inspiring opportunities to serve in the
capacity of Agriculture and Management Consultant to the people of the Philippines, Laos, Iran and Indonesia.
He was a member of the Filipino Community of Seattle, Mekong Circle
International, Kahirup of Washington State, was a master gardener, and
a member of the Upsilon Sigma Phi fraternity of the University of the Philippines.
