Rogelio Briones Deang, 86, of Lynnwood, Washington, passed on to greater life on May 24, 2025.
Rogelio (Rody) was born to Tomas and Eufracia Deang on May 31, 1938 in Manila, Philippines. The eldest in a brood of seven, Rody’s life revolved around his immediate and extended family.
He married the love of his life, Francisca Acebes, on April 25, 1965. Together, they raised seven children. He worked as a cab driver in Clarkfield Pampanga (previously a U.S. Air Force base in the Philippines) before becoming a supervisor in one of the bottling plants of San Miguel Corporation where he enjoyed working until 1994. He and his family moved to Seattle in 2002.
A member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rogelio will be remembered for his great love for God and his kingdom. His last words include, “We will see each other again in God’s Paradise.” and “Love one another.”
Rogelio is survived by his loving wife Francisca, his children Lilibeth, Roger (and wife, Arnie), Robin (and wife, Renea), Ronald (and wife, Connie), Clarissa (and husband Jules), Ria, and Mai (and husband Alvin), his 10 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, and 2 of his sisters.
