Ronald “Ron” Corpuz, went home to be with the Lord on May 27th, 2021, at the age of 85. He succumbed to health complications from a few months previous and was cared for by family when he passed away. Ron was born and raised in St. Paul, MN on March 19th, 1936 to Paul and Helen Corpuz. During his senior year his family moved to Seattle, WA in order for his father to pursue opportunity with Burlington Northern Railroad.
He completed his diploma at Everett Community College. After which he spent his summer working in an Alaska cannery, learning skills that later helped him secure a job with The Boeing Company. He also served in the National Guard. He began his career with Boeing as a forklift driver, later became an overhead crane operator and retiring after 43 years of service in June 1999.
Ron met his wife, Connie Orkney in 1959 at First Baptist Church in Seattle, WA.; Where they were later married in 1961 and shared 59 years of marriage. They raised two sons, Todd and Delvin. Once Connie retired they moved to Lynnwood, WA. Ron loved to win at playing card games, spending time with family, shooting the breeze about his time at Boeing, spending time tinkering on “things” to fix as retirement got close he took up golf at the encouragement of a friend. However, he loved to relax in his “lazyboy” watching sports and 700 Club.
We now know that with fond memories he dances and sings with the angels and will always be kept in our hearts. Ron is survived by his wife Connie, siblings Larry (Judy) & Susie (Herb), sons Todd (Lisa) and Delvin (Percy). Grandchildren Cricket, Khristopher (Heileen), Daniel (Shayna), Joshua and Kaleb. Great grandchildren Raejhaun and Consuelia, nieces and nephews.
