Ruth Kyle, 90, passed away on April 14, 2024 in Seattle. She was born in Bellingham, Washington. Her family moved to Moses Lake, Washington in 1948, where she graduated from Moses Lake High School. She stayed very busy as a working mom; raising her children and volunteering for various organizations. She and her husband Richard Kyle, whom she married in 1964, owned and operated the Chieftain Motel and Restaurant in Wenatchee, Washington.
Ruth was known as a vibrant, gregarious, and stylish woman who was never happier than when she was surrounded by her loved ones.
After retiring in 1983, Ruth and Richard moved to Seattle where they spent the next phase of their lives traveling and enjoying Seattle life. They also lived part time in Southern California for several years.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her son Steve (Luisa), her daughter Pam (Doug), brother Richard Tenaglia, sister Esther Kwasney, and parents Gus and Gertrude Tenaglia. She is survived by her son Sam Robinson, daughter Sue Kyle Maresco (Tony), and grandchildren Kyle, Annissa, August, Natalia, and Matias.
Arrangements are being handled by Butterworth Funeral Home in Seattle. A memorial service celebrating the lives of Ruth and her husband Richard is planned for June 8, 2024.
