Scott passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from juvenile diabetic complications on January 3, 2010 at the age of 45. He was born September 26, 1964 in Seattle to Jackie and Bert Griffiths. He was a beloved son, brother and uncle.
He attended The Bush School and was considered a "Lifer" graduating in 1983. While at Bush, he enjoyed lively and engaging dialogue with his teachers and performed in many lead roles for the drama productions. He went on to attend Vassar College and graduated with a B.A. in Art History in 1988.
Scott loved going to Art Museums and was a walking, talking tour guide if you were with him. He knew something about most of the art pieces in any museum. He even persuaded his sister to take an art history class in college.
He was a lifelong comic book collector. He attended many comic conventions. He had his first table to sell comics by the time he was 12 and his mother, Jackie, went with him on his first of several trips to the San Diego Comic Convention.
Playing bridge was another passion of Scott's. He followed his parent's love of the game. He leaves behind many friends at the bridge table at his weekly Tuesday and Saturday games.
He loved and was most devoted to his two nieces Jacqueline and Emily and was very involved in their lives. He was always ready to read, play a game or cook in the kitchen - anything they wanted he was ready.
Scott had a wonderful sense of humor and loved a good conversation. He was generous and caring to his friends and family. He will be missed very much by those who knew him.
He is survived by his sister, Susan Griffiths Dunlap (husband, Al) and his nieces Jacqueline and Emily. His parents Jackie and Bert preceded him in death.
