Sophia Mallos

Sophia Mallos, 82, passed away in Lynnwood, Washington on January 22, 2019. She was born in Athens, Greece on January 14, 1937. At the age of 21, Sophia moved to the United States where she settled down in Portland, Oregon. She worked there as a Seamstress for Nordstrom, her passion was to create fur coats. Later she remarried Steve Mallos, and in 1975 they moved together to Edmonds, Washington, where they raised their family. She was devout in her faith to the Greek Orthodox Church, and was a beloved wife and mother. In her spare time she loved to read, was an amazing cook, and a wonderful gardener. She is survived by her husband of 43 years Steve Mallos, her three children George Natseos, Judy Larson and Mike Mallos, 5 Grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many other friends and relatives. Services will be at The Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 1804 13th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122. Trisagion Service on Wednesday January 30, 2019 at 7pm, Service the next day Thursday January 31, 2019 at 11am with burial to follow at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave N, Seattle, WA 98133.
