Stacey was a blond, blue-eyed child - nicknamed by her cousin as ?Spunky?. She grew up in Lynnwood, Washington, attending Beverly Elementary, Meadowdale Junior High and Meadowdale High School. At the age of 16 she started working for Safeway in Everett, Washington, working there for almost 18 years becoming the Head Price Changer.
When Stacey was four years of age she participated in the LaPetite Division of the Washington State annual ?Our Little Miss? Pageant and won Little Miss Photogenic. Her mother remembers how everyone wanted their daughters to be perfect and would not let them swim in the hotel pool, but Stacey just had to swim so Kathy gave her permission and she jumped in and had fun - Kathy just put her long blond hair up in a bun for the rest of the days events.
As a child Stacey took ballet lessons and ice-skating lessons. Her mother remembers her playing ?ballet basketball? as she always was doing ballet moves as she ran down the court.
On July 15, 2000, after being together for seven years, Stacey married her best friend, Scott Michael Hoskins, at his parent?s home in Grapeview, Washington. Stacey?s cat, ?Hamma? stayed in Seattle, but Scott?s dog Bonzo attended. Recently another manx cat ?Otto? joined their household. When Stacey was first introduced to her future in-laws, Mike and Joanne, she was nicknamed by the family as ?Ey?, as they also have a daughter named ?Stacy?. She lovingly and generously accepted ?Ey? and was known to often introduce herself as ?Ey?.
Besides being an animal lover, Stacey enjoyed gardening her father will miss her lemon cucumbers, reading, snow skiing and camping. She collected cookbooks - loving to cook for her family and friends. Her cousin, Patti, remembers as a child Stacey using the oven for a bookcase for her cookbooks. Unfortunately, her mother did not realize Stacey was using the oven for the books.
Anyone who knew Stacey will remember her as an avid sports fan. She knew more statistics and player?s names, etc. than most people.
Stacey passed away suddenly on June 9, 2003, at Harborview Hospital in Seattle, Washington, at the young age of 34 with her family and friend, Serena, at her side. She will be missed by her family, friends and animals.
