Virginia "Ginny" Freeman passed away January 29, 2010, in Davis, CA from complications associated with diabetes. She was born April 26, 1945, in Seattle, WA, the youngest daughter of Eugene and Freda (Lundstrom) Freeman. She attended Oak Lake Elementary, Woodrow Wilson Jr. High and Lincoln High School, as well as Seattle University, majoring in accounting. She lived in Seattle until age 26. She worked as an accountant/bookkeeper for small businesses in Seattle, WA, Portland, OR and Davis, CA, retiring in 2006.
She possessed a love of horses all her life, but most especially for the three she owned and cared for: Choya, Prince and Hobby. Skampy, her cat, had been her close companion these past two years (he misses you terribly, Ginny).
Virginia's friendships with those close to her were very important. She enjoyed singing, particularly with Mr. Bardon's Nonettes group at Lincoln High School, reading and shopping.
Virginia was a most generous person. Rest in peace, our dear sister.
Three sisters survive her: Betty (Rocky) Ronquillo, Lynda Wilson, Diane (Peter) Joss, as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
The family wishes to thank Yolo Hospice for their gentle and loving care.
A memorial will be held March 27, 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Washelli, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA 98133. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Yolo Hospice or a charity of your choice.
