

William James Roller was born November 28th 1935 in Seattle, Washington. He is the son of William Alexander and Ellen Mae Roller. He is survived by his beloved wife Loretta and his three sons; Steve, Scott and Bryan, their wives, and five grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved sister Joan Mehr.
He graduated in 1959 from the University of Washington with degrees in Mining Engineering and Industrial Engineering. While attending the University of Washington Jim was a member of Alpha Delta Phi fraternity and served as President his senior year.
He also holds a Masters degree in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. Latter in his career he earned an Advanced Management degree from Harvard University.
He retired his employment with BECU as Sr. Vice President and as President/CEO of BECU Financial Services on December 1, 2000. Jim also taught courses on Ethics and Morality for his company and credit union's industry.
He loved Puget Sound, choosing to live on Bainbridge Island and mooring his powerboat, the Spirit, on Liberty Bay in Poulsbo. Jim often spent his free time writing and sharing his poetry with friends and family.
Memorial service will be held at Evergreen-Washelli on December 15th at 10:00 am.
Memorial donations can be sent to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of Kitsap County.
