

Yakentim Ibrahim, 53, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend passed away on September 14, 2025, in Seattle, Washington after battling an aggressive form of cancer. He was born in Nigeria but resided in the USA since 1984.
Yakentim’s name means “never will be poor” and he was never poor in friendships, the love he had for others, and the joy he brought to any situation or place. He was a talented inventor, avid Nissan 300 ZX fanatic, disco ball fan, Santa impersonator, and above all, a dedicated husband, father, and friend. Yakentim was a brilliant engineer for The Boeing Company for 20 years as a prodigious and hardworking inventor. He was someone who truly lived out his faith and the love he had for God.
Yakentim leaves behind a legacy of love, fun and friendship. He is survived by his wife, his three children, his mother and five siblings along with sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. His memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him and had the good fortune to have had him in their lives. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Please join us at a Celebration of Life service held at Alderwood Community Church on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 3:00pm. A private graveside service will be held beforehand.
There will also be a visitation open to the public at Evergreen-Washelli Funeral Home on Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 3-5pm.
