Alejos R Flores

Alejos R. Flores will be remembered by all who were touched by his gentle disposition, wit and sense of humor.

Alejos left in peace surrounded by his family in the comfort of his own home on Friday, November 14, 2014. He was born to Marcos and Evangelina (Rodriguez) Flores Sr. on June 22, 1939 in Hondo, Texas. He was 75. Alejos was a loving man who would do anything for his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Isabel G. Flores, his four daughters Esmeralda Rodriguez, Irma Flores (Lisa Rodriguez), Janie Reyes (Benny) and Dolores Martinez (Severiano Jr.). He also leaves behind his seven grandchildren; John Rodriguez Jr. (Miriam), Louis Rodriguez (Jennifer), James Reyes (Brandi), Jonathan Reyes, Miranda Martinez, Matthew Martinez and Meagan Martinez, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Alejos was preceded in death by his parents Marcos Sr. and Evangelina Flores, his daughter Susie Flores, his sister Ernestina Barrientes and his three brothers; Bonifacio Flores Sr., Marcos Flores Jr., and Ernesto Flores Sr.

Alejos was a great provider. He retired after 20 years at Pamrod Products in 2008, and after finding that retirement didn’t suit him, he returned to work as a custodian for the Seguin ISD until he retired again in 2010. Alejos was a very religious man. He loved playing his guitar, singing and gambling trips to Coushatta and Lucky Eagle Casino. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Seguin where he played guitar and was a member of the Prayer Group.

Friends and family are invited to Goetz Funeral Home, 713 N. Austin St. Seguin, between 5:00 and 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 18th, 2014 in the Goetz Memorial Chapel. A Rosary service will immediately follow at 7:00 PM.

Friends are requested to join Alejos' family at 9:00 am to celebrate his funeral mass on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 409 W Krezdorn St, Seguin, Texas with interment immediately following at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Cemetery in Seguin.
