Doris V Brenner

Doris Brenner, loving Mother and Meemaw, went home to be with her Lord on November 27, 2011 at the age of 85. Doris was born December 31, 1925 in Floresville, Texas. She married Louis L. Brenner on July 17, 1947 and resided in Seguin, Texas for 49 years. Her wonderful sense of humor and selfless love will be missed by many.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Tony and Emma Klesel; her husband, Louis Brenner and daughter, Jennifer McClaugherty. She is survived by a daughter, Julie Keller and husband Kolin; grandchildren, Jake Keller, Jenna Keller, Shane McClaugherty and wife Nichole; great grandchildren, Dylan McClaugherty, Mason McClaugherty, Grace McClaugherty and Audrey Castillo; sisters, Estelle Hill, Ruby Gilmore and Georgia Huckstep; best friend, Doris Harrison and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Christus Santa Rosa in New Braunfels, the Hope Hospice team, and the wonderful caregivers from Home Instead, Monica, Jennifer, Brandi, Debbie and Ashley for the incredible loving care and support during Doris’ illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice of New Braunfels, St. James Catholic Church of Seguin or to a charity of your choice.

A Visitation will be held at Goetz Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 3, 2011 beginning at 11 a.m, with a Rosary at noon. A memorial service will follow at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include Jake Keller, Mason McClaugherty, Dylan McClaugherty, Tony Frels, Chris Frels, Stephen Frels and Jack Frels.
