Eusebia Valdez Ramirez

Eusebia “Sylvia” Ramirez went to be with her Savior on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the age of 74 years. Sylvia was born on December 16, 1939, to Vincente Valdez and Maria Hernandez Valdez at a home in Fentress, Texas. Sylvia attended McQueeny Elementry, Joe F. Saegert, and Seguin High schools in Seguin, Texas. She began working as a seamstress at United Cotton Goods. Sylvia later received a cosmetology license and worked as a cosmetologist at Charm Beauty Salon for a number of years. She retired from Guadalupe Regional Medical Center as a dietary aide in 2011. When Sylvia was married to Louis R. Ramirez, Sr., they had two children; daughter, Melisa and son, Louis R. Ramirez, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincente and Maria Valdez; sister, Tomasa Fuentes and brother-in-law, Antonio Gonzales, Sr. Above all things, Sylvia cherished her family. She will be greatly missed by daughter, Melisa Ramirez Garcia (George A. Garcia, Sr.) son, Louis R. Ramirez, Jr. (Anissa Gonzales), and her precious grandchildren; Analisa Rodriguez (Jerry), George A. Garcia, Jr. (Maxine Gonzales), and Krystal “KK” Garcia, and by her beloved great grandchildren; Dylan, Nickolas, Alexia, Caedyn, Carter, Myla, and Zakery. Sylvia is also survived by her siblings; Jacinta Gonzales, Dominga Valdez, Cecilio Valdez, Sr., (Carmina), Mary Trevino, Gloria Pacheco (Joe), Cruz Cantu (Gus) and numerous nieces and nephews. Public visitation will be on Sunday, April 27th from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Goetz Funeral Home. Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, the 27th. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Seguin.
