Joseph A. Kubena

Joseph was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Lillie Jiral, Bohumir Johnny (B.J.), Frances Ann Kubena, Mary Ann Kotzur, Jerome George Kubena, and Louis Edward Kubena.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Bernice Kubena, children; Joseph Kubena, Jr. (Leigh), Steven Kubena (Donna), Mary Lebo (Sean), Kathy Thompson (Loren), Carol Werner (Max), grandchildren; Rachel Kubena, Steven Kubena, Jr., Alyssa (Kubena) Johnson, Joshua Kubena, Justin Lebo, Wesley Taylor Kubena, Danielle Lebo, Codi Werner, Taylor Thompson, Colton Kubena, Brandi Werner, Joseph Blake Kubena, Skylar Werner, Crystal Lebo, Allison Kubena, great-grandchild: Landon Johnson, sister: Agnes Remmers, brother: Edwin J. Kubena (Margaret), and sister-in-law: Evelyn Kubena.

Joseph served two years in the United States Army, opened his own barbershop at Kelly AFB, and ultimately accomplished a dream of owning a dairy farm for forty-five years. His life is remembered for his great love for Bernice, his children, grandchildren, and wonderful sense of humor.

A rosary will be recited Friday, September 11th at 9:30 am, with the funeral service following at 10:00 - St. James Catholic Church in Seguin, 510 South Camp Street. Burial will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park at 2951 S State Highway 46, New Braunfels, TX 78130.
