Mark Carleton Weisner

Mark Weisner, 64, was a humble leader. He empowered those around him to be better people, teacher, students and athletes. He was an inspirational teacher, coach, principal and superintendent of schools. He was an educator for 47 years and superintendent 24 of those years. He went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, February 27, 2016.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Jo Ellen, of 30 years, his children: John Weisner (Jill Alana Weisner), Jill Elaine Weisner, Cody Bell (Jenny), Brady Bell (Lacy), Kelli Magallanez (Jason) and grandchildren: Kathryn Weisner, Luke Weisner, Tanner Bell, Caden Magallanez, Brody Magallanez, Alexa Magallanez and soon to be Bradyn Bell; his brothers Dean Weisner (Carol), Thomas Weisner (Dee) and nieces Marie Gjorda and Alysha Weisner. He was preceded in death by his father Dr. Henry J. Weisner and is survived by his mother Georgiana Weisner. He also leaves special family members behind: sister-in-law Susan Edwards (Bill), brother-in-law, John Chalmers, Kathy and George Bishop and Virginia Hueseman.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Goetz Funeral Home 713 N. Austin St. in Seguin on Tuesday March 1. Graveside service will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday, March 2, at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 Hwy 46 S., New Braunfels TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
