Ofelia Cardenas Hinojosa

A rosary service followed by a memorial mass celebrating Ofelia’s life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 409 West Krezdorn Street, Seguin Texas with Father David Tonary officiating. Private interment services will be held at a later date at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park in New Braunfels.

Ofelia was born in Lockhart Texas on January 1, 1926 to Francisco and Juanita (Castillo) Cardenas. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Hope D. Merz; her parents; her sisters Cruz Salazar and Benigna Loera as well as her brothers Jose and Guadalupe Cardenas.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 56 years, Robert Hinojosa; her children Daniel de la Garza and wife Cecilia, Grace Camarillo and her husband Frank; Michael Hinojosa, Vanessa Eubank and her husband Billy; grandchildren Jon and Robby de la Garza, her favorite granddaughter Celina Ross and husband Mickey; great-grandchildren Julian de la Garza, Jade and Gia Ross. She will also be greatly missed by her sisters Modesta and Trinidad Cardenas.

Ofelia’s family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at Remarkable Health Care Center in Seguin, Guadalupe Regional Hospice Services, Advanced Home Health Services and Dr. Antonio Flores and his devoted staff for their love and support.
