Rachel Tovar De La Cruz

Rachel Tovar De La Cruz passed away on the 20th of January, 2012, at the age of 84. She was born in Seguin, Texas in 1927 to Marcelino and Coletilda Becerra Tovar. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel De La Cruz; daughter, Olga Guinn; sister, Juana Garcia; and brothers Elias, Jose, and Kiko Tovar. She is survived by her granddaughter, Erica Guinn; son-in-law, Donald Guinn; sisters-in-law: Alice Tovar, Maria Tovar, Carmen De La Cruz, Mary Martinez, Mary De La Cruz; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Heartland Nursing Home for caring so wonderfully for Rachel, with special thanks to Sharon, Charity and Dian.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Goetz Funeral Home from 5-9 pm on Monday, January 23rd. Funeral services will commence at 10 am on Tuesday, January 24th at La Trinidad United Methodist Church, with interment following at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
