Robert A. Garza

Robert A. Garza, age 56, passed away on March 12, 2011. Robert was born on March 28, 1954 in Seguin to Mary Susan Arce and Louis Garza Sr. He was known as a loving man who was always there to help out his family, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Robert was a longtime employee of Lehigh Hanson where he was a heavy equipment operator.

He is preceded by his father and brother Gilberto Garza Sr. Survivors include his loving wife of 26 years, Bea Garza; his children, Elizabeth Alvarado and husband Michael, Valery Ann Guerra, Jason Pena and wife Tamula; his mother Susan Arce Garza; his brothers, Felix Garza Sr. and wife Cande, Louis Garza Jr. and wife Timmy, Alex Garza, and Ernesto Garza; his sisters Josie Garza, Linda Pastrano and husband Apolonio, Mary Louise Robles and husband Manuel, Patsy Pulido and Victor Rangel; his uncles and aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Arce Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Luis Arce, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Arce; his 8 grandchildren, Zachary Pastrano, Jayce Pena, Kaden Pena, Johnathan Guerra, Steven Guerra, Tré Alvarado, Jordan Alvarado and Alessa Faith Pena; numerous nieces and nephews and many other relatives.

A visitation will be held at Goetz Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 from 2 until 9pm with a Rosary recited at 7pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 16, 2011, 2 p.m. at St James Catholic Church with interment following at San Juan Cemetery in Geronimo. Pallbearers include Louis Garza Jr., Ernesto Garza, Victor Rangel, Albert Bustamante, Ernie Bustamante and Richard Bustamante. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Alex Garza, Jason Pena, Ricky Arce, Zachary Pastrano, Jayce Pena, Kaden Pena, Johnathan Guerra and Steven Guerra.
