Sade Lee "Sadie" Weinaug Haecker

Sade Lee Haecker was born March 5, 1921 in Kingsbury, Texas and after a long illness, passed away January 1, 2015 at the age of 93.

Sade was the youngest of nine children to William and Ida Weinaug of Kingsbury Texas. Sade grew up on a farm, played basketball and was Valedictorian of her senior high school class. Sade married Marvin John Haecker who has preceded her in death, July 1, 1991. Sade was a mom and homemaker. Sade liked growing beautiful flowers and had some of the prettiest in Seguin. She and Marvin lived in Seguin all their married life and Sade remained here until her death.

Sade’s eight siblings and great-grandson, Dylan Thomas Haecker have also preceded her in death.

Sade is survived by her three children; daughter Darline and son-in-law Duane Rutherford of Houston, a son Gary Haecker and daughter-in-law Terry of Austin, and daughter Trudy and son-in-law Dan Batey of Seguin as well as seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 3 pm at Goetz Funeral Home, Seguin, TX. Visitation will precede services at 2 pm. A private interment will take place at San Geronimo Cemetery, Seguin, TX.
