Vivian was born December 19, 1958 is Seguin, Texas to Stanley and Lydia (Stautzenberg) Dean. She was one of four girls in the family. Vivian always had a big heart and an easy smile for everybody. She was always placing others needs before her own. Vivian worked as a nurse’s aide and orderly part-time at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center while she served as a paramedic over a fifteen year period. For a while she ran Tri-County Ambulance Service and then became an LVN, working at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center for six years and then for the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s office for ten years . While working at the Sheriff’s office in December of 2000, she met Gerald Davis. Within a few months they married and she took over the care and nurturing of his girls. Her big heart helped her weather the trials of stepping in as a parent to 10 year old girls whom weren’t quite sure they wanted another female in their home. Vivian loved to go on cruises, visit state parks in their camper, ride with the Blue Knights with her husband and after becoming home bound over the past six years, she enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie and the Golden Girls.
Vivian is preceded in death by her father Stanly Dean. She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Gerald E. Davis Jr.; her mother Lydia Dean; step-daughters Brittany and Sierra Davis; her sisters Debra Sue Linebarger, Laurie Arms and her husband David and Rosie Adcock and her husband Ashley as well as her babies; Lucy, Zoe and Sassy.
