Carmelo was born on March 7th 1942, in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He was married to Maria his wife on February 28th 1976. They shared three children together during their marriage of 47 years.
Carmelo was strong of mind and heart, and did so many things during his life. He has owned countless businesses, and had a passion for life and taking care of his family that is unmatched. Despite the many challenges he faced, his siblings always felt he accomplished the most out of all of them. He always found friends wherever he went, and many in the community called him Pops as a result of that. In addition to being a business owner, he was also an inventor, an expert handy man and artist. He was always fixing something, building something, or creating art. He also had the best sense of humor, and was always trying to make everyone laugh and have fun.
He also was more than just the titles he held as son, brother, husband, father, uncle, godfather, and grandfather; he was a friend to all of us and many others. He was always there for us, he gave us trouble, he gave us advice, he made us laugh, he taught us how to fix things and he loved us, and we loved him. He was loved and revered by so many, and his loss will be felt every day we are all here without him.
He is survived by his wife and their three children Antonio, Daniel and Christine, his grandchild Ella, and his four siblings Gilbert, Loyda, Gigi, and Nancy.
