It is with great sadness that the family of Dan Lalasz announces his passing, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the age of 69 years.
Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Kathleen, his children, David and Tracy, step son, Brandon and son-in-law, Kelly. He will also be forever and lovingly missed by his granddaughter, Dagny. Dan was predeceased by his brother Jerry and his parents, Benjamin and Alfreda.
A native of Chicago, Dan attended St. Patrick High School and the University of Illinois. In his 40’s Dan relocated to Palm Harbor, Florida where he enjoyed “another beautiful day in paradise” every day. Dan was a lifelong “car guy” and was dedicated to excellence in all of his varied endeavors. He loved boating, riding his Harley, flying his Cessna and cruising the Caribbean. He was a great storyteller and a funny guy with outstanding comedic timing. Dan had an incredible respect for the value of all life and was an animal lover. He will be missed by the pets he leaves behind, KG Lee, Kara and Ralph the parrot.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a vigil service at 6:30 pm Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home in Seminole, Florida. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Jerome Catholic Church in Largo, Florida on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m., followed by burial at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery, Seminole, Florida
Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Dan to the Humane Society of Pinellas County.
