McKENZIE, Irene P.88, of Madeira Beach, Florida, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011 under the care of her loving family and hospice. She was born in Lowell, Massachusetts, the daughter of Willie J. and Alphonsine “Ouellette” Massey.
Irene and her late husband, Joseph W. McKenzie moved to Florida in 1968 from Tewksbury, Massachusetts. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Seminole, Florida.
Survivors include sons, Joseph McKenzie, Jr., Kevin McKenzie and his wife, Rosemarie, and Michael McKenzie; daughters, Paula Speck and her husband, Jerry, Gail Meyer, Jeanne Obstaculo, and Patti Overbeck and her husband, David; a sister, Yvette Smith; 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral Mass celebrated 1:30 p.m.Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church , 11565 66th Avenue, Seminole, FL. Committal prayers and entombment to follow the mass at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery in Seminole, FL.
