Benjamin Moses Moore

Born in Knoxville, TN on the thirtieth of October, 1970, he was a son of Don Moore and Betty Covington Donley. Ben was a chief analyst with the Sperry Rail Service of Danbury, CT. Just a few of his accomplishments that he was most proud of were being in the Boy Scouts and earning the rank of Eagle Scout at the same time as his brother Don, and he was a US Navy veteran. A true Eagle Scout throughout his life, he will forever be remembered for being a fierce family man and friend to so many, a devoted employee and friend and never telling a lie, It is said that he could walk into a room of one hundred strangers and leave the same room with one hundred friends. He was preceded in death by his step-mother, Linda Davis Moore, Mother in-law Gerry Lamourine, and Grandson Anthony Lamourine.

Surviving are his father, Don Moore of Knoxville, TN; his mother, Betty Donley and husband Dayle of Shallotte, NC; his loving wife Barbara Moore of Gales Ferry, CT; two sons, John Allen Lamourine of Zanesville, OH, Jeremiah Moses “JJ” Moore of Gales Ferry, CT; two daughters, Mellissa Estella Scarce and husband Ryan of Shallotte, NC, Elizabeth Mima-Lou Moore of Gales Ferry, CT; a special brother, Don “Baby Donnie” Moore of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Kaden Micheal Scarce, Elliott Benjamin Scarce, Rebecca Lou-Ann Lamourine, Dominic Lamourine; a niece, Brittney Spraggins and husband Michael, their child “Baby Don”; nephew, Blake Moore and his family at Sperry Rail Service.

You are invited to a celebration of life at eleven o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, the third of May, 2017 in the White Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel, Shallotte. The family will have a visitation from ten until eleven o’clock Wednesday morning at the funeral home. A reception will follow the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that monetary donations be made in Ben’s name to the American Breast Cancer Fund at 10400 Little Patuxent Parkway Suite 480 Columbia, MD 21044.
