Claudia was born on February 4, 1944, in Hampton, Virginia, to the late David and Julia Rose. She graduated from Hampton High School in 1962 and continued her education at Hampton Roads Business College.
She built a distinguished career as an Administrative Secretary, serving in several prestigious roles supporting Vice Presidents and Presidents in various organizations in Virginia and North Carolina. During her time at NASA/Langley, she contributed to the Viking Mars Project—an accomplishment she took great pride in. After relocating to North Carolina, she continued her professional journey, working with Winn-Dixie and later serving the VP of finance at Presbyterian Hospital. Before retiring, she worked alongside her husband at DZ Atlantic.
Claudia was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Donald Renfrow, who remained faithfully by her side throughout her nearly two-year health decline. Donald was devoted to her every need and cared for her with all of his heart and soul. Claudia was also a devoted mother who cherished her four children. She will be remembered for her unwavering positivity, strong work ethic, and the deep love she had for her family. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially time spent at the beach, boating, jet skiing, and taking golf cart rides through her neighborhood with her dogs. Even during her illness, Claudia remained optimistic, always uplifting and encouraging those around her.
She leaves behind her husband, Donald; her four children: Stacey (Robert Thompson), Amber (Westwood Holliday), Ashley (Lucas Starnes), and John Waller (Beth); six beloved grandchildren: Tiffany, Robbie, Ciara, Austin, Carissa and Remi, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, David Rose (Sheila), and her sister, June (David Brooks).
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 12:00 pm. at Gospel Center Baptist Church, 330 Varnamtown Road, Supply, North Carolina. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm.

Claudia’s legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on in all who knew her.
