

Mrs. Skipper was born January 2, 1951 in Brunswick County, daughter of the late Norman Bellamy and Iona Hewett Bellamy. She worked many years managing a shrimp house where she enjoyed talking with everyone and heading shrimp. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved cooking and spending time with them. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Shallotte. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Thurman Wycuff Skipper and two sisters, JoAnn Simmons and Pinta Todd.
Survivors include her children, Cindy Evans and husband Adam of Supply, Misty Benoy and husband Justin of Supply, and Stewart Skipper of Supply; six grandchildren, Darcy Allen, Owen Evans, Sadie Benoy, Mason Benoy, Porter Benoy, and Adelyn Skipper; three great grandchildren, Lincoln Allen, Lilah Allen, and Sterling Benoy; two sisters, Julia Hayes of Supply and Bonnett Fortiscue of Supply; a special niece, Ami Thompson; and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at three o'clock in the afternoon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Shallotte. Burial will follow at Sabbath Home Cemetery.
