

Johnnie was born October 16, 1947 in Columbus County, son of the late Laney Milliken and Caroline Milliken. He worked as a Foreman on a dredge boat for many years. Johnnie was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. His favorite hobby was fishing in the Waccamaw River with his brothers. He also enjoyed getting together with family to fry fish or eat oysters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife Linda Milliken of Whiteville; children, Larena Joanne Milliken-Long and husband Randy of Whiteville, Cynthia Lynn Pulley and husband Paul of Corpus Christi, Texas, Tammy Faye Phillips and husband Luke of Seagrove, North Carolina, Theresa Doraray Pleasant of Asheboro, Robert Ray Cox, II and wife Michele of Asheboro, North Carolina, and John Martin Cox and wife Amy of Randleman, North Carolina; brothers, Irvin Milliken of Ash, North Carolina, Norwood Milliken and wife Marie of Calabash, North Carolina, and Jerry Milliken of Little River, South Carolina; sister, Nina Gail Lewis and husband Frankie of Little River, South Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Leah, Lauren, Bethany, Jennifer, Tiffany, Michael, Karen, Christina, Amber, Joshua, Cody, Cecilia, Allen, and Holly; and 36 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.
