Joseph Joe Clinton Davis

He was born in Columbus County on September 11, 1945 the son of the late Herbert Davis and Gladys Pope Davis. And was preceded in death by four brothers, J. B. Davis, Elbert Davis, Stancil Davis and Bobby; two sisters, Shelby Jean Davis and Ann Fowler.

“Joe” was a member of Shell Point Baptist Church. A Veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the Tabor City Lodge # 563 A.F. & A.M. He loved to play Solitaire and watch the Walton’s also Bonanza and most of all he loved his family.

Surviving are his loving wife, of 35 years, Cathy Horne of the home; his children, Edd Joseph Davis, Jamie Brian Davis, Angela Dawn Davis and Randy Scott Davis all of Shallotte; two brothers, Jerry Dillon Davis of Bladenboro, NC and Danny Garland Davis of Chadbourn, NC; a sister, Minnie Lee Smithers of Neptune City, NJ; a grandson, Dalton “DJ” James Davis of Shallotte.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 23, 2016 at Shell Point Baptist Church by Pastor Steve Stout officiating.

Burial will follow in the Shell Point Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday January 22, 2016 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel and other times at their residence.

Pallbearers will be: Milton Williams, Edd Davis, Josh Williams, Keith Spivey, Jay Lancaster and Ricky Duncan
