Mary Helen Gurley Tuck

She was born on March 3, 1929 in Durham, NC the daughter of the late Walter Holloway and Tessie Beck Holloway and was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Daniel Gurley, Jr and Oscar Clinton Tuck; also two brothers, Jimmy and Frank, three sisters, Mattie, Becky and Doris.

Mrs. Tuck was a member of the Buck Creek Bible Chapel and was a Nurse for many years.

Surviving are her family, a son, Robert Gurley of Shallotte, NC; a daughter, Edith Gurley Atwood of Supply, NC; two sisters, Grace Proctor of Durham, NC and Peggy Thompson of Wilmington, NC; two grandchildren, William Green, Jr and wife, Kristina. and Krystle Atwood; 6 greatgrandchildren, Donnivan Rivera, Devan Rivera, Daevyon Rivera, William Green, III, Kylynna Green and Zaevyon Green.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 in the morning Tuesday June 7, 2016 at White Funeral & Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel.

Burial will 1:00 in the afternoon on Wednesday June 8, 2016 in Woodlawn Memorial Park Durham, NC.

The family will receive family and friends on Monday Evening from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
