Mr. Hamzah was born in Cairo, Egypt on February 16, 1949 and was the son of the late Muhammad and Soad Elswaf Hamzah. Mr. Hamzah was very athletic while attending college. He was a member of the basketball team and swim team. Prior to his retirement he was a Sales Manager-Partner for many years. Mr. Hamzah was a born again Christian and a member of Believer Bible Chapel of Longs, SC.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gilda Hamzah; three sons, Alan Hamzah of New York City, Steven Hamzah of Charlotte, NC and Michael T. Hamzah of Bay Shore, New York; four grandchildren, Ella, Scottie, Jake and Reed; a sister, Nadia Zaki of Mannalapan, New Jersey.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in New York.
