Nancy was born in New Hanover County, NC on February 6, 1966 and was the daughter of David Leroy Russ of Leland and Mary H. Harts of Rocky Point. She was a member of Ocean View Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Michael Carter; three children, Michael Adam Savage, April Nichole Carter Gibson, Ashley Renee’ Carter; two brothers, Johnny Harts, David Russ; two sisters, Desiree Owens, Rosette Russ and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday March 28, 2016 at 2pm at the chapel of White Funeral and Cremation Service, 3660 Express Dr. Shallotte with Reverend Brad Hardwick Officiating. Burial will follow in the Mintz Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at the funeral home.
