Phillip Terry King

Mr. King was born January 5, 1945 in Ash, North Carolina, son of the late Thomas King and Aultie Nevada Smith King. He is the retired owner and partner of King’s Heating and Air Conditioning and Plumbing. His hobbies included reading the Bible, working puzzles, seek and find books, and wood working. Mr. King enjoyed gardening, raising his chickens and quails. He was a hard worker with a “King” temper. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Tammy Lynn King Johnson, brothers, Fred A. King and Douglas King.

Survivors include his wife Cynthia Edwards “Cindy” King of the home; son, Phillip Eric King of Shallotte; brothers, Rabon King of Leland and Jerry King and wife Lamar of Winnabow; sisters, Peggy Pelasara of Ocean Isle Beach, Mary Katherine Grissett of Ocean Isle Beach, and Janet McCoy of Longwood; grandchildren, Bryan Johnson, Suzanne King, and Kailyn King.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 18, 2022 at two o’clock in the afternoon at New Britton Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

The family wishes to thank Novant Health Brunswick Volunteers, the nurses and staff at New Hanover Memorial Hospital and the 3rd floor staff of Novant.
