I was so saddened to hear of Rose Mary's passing.  She was one of the kindest people I've ever had the privilege of knowing.  I remember the first time I met her.  Dad had come to Columbus in the summer to pick up my sister Lorey and I for a visit with him in Cincinnati.  We walked out to the car and found 5 boys sitting in it.  We learned these were our half-brothers.  Dad had never told us that he had re-married until this moment.  It was quite a shock to say the least and made for a very quiet 3 hour drive.  When we arrived we met Rose Mary who was talkative, enthusiastic, and ebullient.  She couldn't have been nicer to us.  As a matter of fact, Dad made himself rather scarce after that and it was Rose Mary who showed us where we were to sleep, brought us down to the kitchen to get a snack, kept the conversation going, and tried so hard to make our visit a success.  At mealtimes it was Rosemary who did most of the talking and tried to get us included in the conversation.  I remember liking her immediately and wanting to be in the room where she was.  From that point on she was always so caring towards us, I always knew she was the one who bought our birthday and Christmas presents and that it was her goading that made Dad reach out to us.  In her mind there was never any competition or jealousy towards Dad's former children and her own, she treated Lorey and I like family.   Most women could not have done that, the reason Rose Mary could was because of her strong faith and abundantly kind heart.  I was honored to be included as family in her obituary.   She was kinder and more giving and selfless than almost  anyone I've ever met and definitely left an indelible mark on my heart.  I was truly blessed to have known her.
