Donna Hoppe

Donna Lynn Hoppe, age 62, died Friday evening, July 26, 2013, at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. Donna was born February 8, 1951, in Sheboygan to Christ and Ruth (Berlin) Hoppe. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her siblings, Paul (Carolyn) Hoppe, of Gardner, Kansas and their children, Jennifer and Philip; Dan Hoppe (Jackie Chen), of La Canada, California and their children, Joanne and Steven; and Sandra Kuester, of Las Cruces, New Mexico and her children, Curt and Scott. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.

Because she was born severely mentally disabled, her life was not like most people's. But she took great enjoyment in swinging, blowing bubbles, listening to music, animals (especially dogs), and anything chocolate. Most of her life she was cared for by her parents. When that became impossible, her care was entrusted to the staffs of Sheboygan County Comprehensive Center and Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. These people became like family to her and their care and love is much appreciated.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at Rocky Knoll Health Care Center. Rev. Marcus Powers, Pastor of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, where Donna was a baptized member, will officiate. A time of fellowship will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to Rocky Knoll Health Care Center and sent in care of Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, WI 53081
