

Gerald F. Flug, age 64, of Sheboygan, died unexpectedly Thursday, February 21, 2013. He was born May 19, 1948 to Frederick and Wilma (Kober) Flug. He was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School, Class of 1966. He attended LTC where he earned an Associate Degree in Chemical Engineering.
For many years Gerry was employed at Borden Chemical Co. as a chemical engineer. He later worked as a technician at Charter Communications.
While in high school he played guitar with his friends and throughout his life he enjoyed the latest in electronics.
In 1981 Gerry married Jodee (Carey) Aschenbach. She preceded him in death May 13, 2006.
Gerry spent many years involved in the Top Hats Marching unit of Sheboygan. Gerry could often be seen following behind in his vehicle that supplied music for the group’s routines, smiling and waving at the crowd. Gerry even had the opportunity to serve as the Top Hats president.
He is survived by his sister, Sandra (Robert) Aldag of Sheboygan; his stepchildren, Lisa (Jay) Cook of Sheboygan, Tammy (special friend, James Mathes) Aschenbach of Plymouth, Danna (special friend, Gary Griessmeyer) Aschenbach of Sheboygan, Shawn (Kelly) Aschenbach of Madison, and Molly (special friend, Scott Saeger) Aschenbach of Plymouth; six step-grandchildren, Nikolas Aschenbach, Samantha Cook, Dominic Aschenbach, Ryan Aschenbach, Elizabeth Mathes, and Benjamin Saeger; two nephews, Matthew (Kristi) Aldag and Andrew (Becky) Aldag; one niece, Chrissy (Troy) VanAsten; his special friend, Valerie Long; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jodee, he was preceded in death by his dear friend, Beth Clarke.
A gathering in celebration of Gerry’s life will be held at Ballhorn Chapels from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Wednesday, February 27, 2013.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
Gerry was a unique individual and prankster who will be dearly missed. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
