

Greta was born December 15, 1922 in Hamburg, Germany to Ernest and Minna (Flotow) Timm. Her family came over on the Canadian Pacific S.S. Empress of Scotland when she was six months old. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School in Crystal Lake, Illinois, through the eighth grade. On January 12, 1946 Raymond Czaja and Greta Timm were united in marriage at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1987. Greta was employed at Wigwam Mills for twenty-five years as an inspector until her retirement in July of 1987. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, gardening, taking trips to the casino and working in her raspberry bushes. Greta is survived by her two daughters, Carol (Lawrence) Justus of Sheboygan and Joanne (Wayne) Wall of Kiel; one sister, Clara Ackman; two brothers, Carl and Richard Timm; seven grandchildren, Scott Mohr, Tammie Mohr, Jennifer Jetzer, Jeremy Justus, Julie Keating, Michelle Brown, and Samantha Mohns; twelve great-grandchildren, Gaige Justus, Jadyn Jetzer, Jordan Oelhafen, Whitney Oelhafen, Taylor Oelhafen, Zachary Oelhafen, Brayden Brown, Ethan Brown, Jackie Keating, Noah Keating, Bridgette Mohns, and Claudia Mohns; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Greta was preceded in death by six sisters, Erna Krecker, Helen Oeffling, Dora Smith, Lucille Oeffling, Shirley Dominick, and Emma Morrison; and four brothers, Vernon, Ernst, Otto, and Frederick Timm. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Alan Kretschmar of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. A time of visitation and support will be held on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of service.
