

“Jinnie” was born November 10, 1929 in Sheboygan to Arno and Ethel Harriette (Luther) Scheffler. She attended Mapledale and US Grant Elementary Schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan North High School, Class of 1949.
In January of 1951 Virginia was united in marriage to Charles Schuette. In January of 2012 they celebrated sixty-one years of marriage.
Jinnie was employed by the National Tinsel Factory in Sheboygan and for a time in a restaurant in Chicago, and by the women’s clothing store in Sheboygan, Marilyn Kuether Boutique.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed her many activities such as The Sheboygan Toast Mistress, bowling and roller skating at the former Playdium and the Ru-Ma Roller Rink as well as ice skating.
Jinnie enjoyed her years traveling with her US Marine husband, Chuck, to duty stations in six different states. She also enjoyed frequent trips and vacations to Las Vegas, Laughlin, Nevada and the Grand Canyon.
In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by her children, Sheila (David) Teeselink and Michael (Barbara) Schuette; three granddaughters, Tanya (Michael) Schwinn, Laura (Jeremy) Weber, and Anna (Travis) Andersen, all of Sheboygan; one grandson, Arik Schuette; five great-grandchildren, Natasha Schwinn, Ariana Schwinn, Ellie Weber, Alex Weber, and Nikolas Schwinn; two step-great-grandchildren, Emma and Haley Andersen; two sisters, Shirley Taylor of Manitowoc and Juanita Thill of Sheboygan; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Neils of Sheboygan and Irmgard Schuette of Cody, Wyoming; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Leroy Taylor, Earl Thill, Herbert Schuette, and Raymond Schuette.
Funeral Services for Jinnie will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1019 N. 7th St., Sheboygan. Rev. Joe Cottam, Pastor Emeritus, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 12 noon until the time of service. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of Eternal Light at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Virginia’s name for St. Mark Lutheran Church.
