Leland "L.B." Brice Crofford, Jr.

He was born on March 3, 1954, in Shenandoah and was the son of the late Leland B. Crofford, Sr. and Mary M. Williams Crofford.

L. B. graduated from Page County High School in 1973. He was a member of the Harvest Pentecostal Church in Luray and was employed with Harman Construction for 30 plus years. He played football while in high school where he was a defensive tackle; he was also a professional boxer. He also served in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Shelby Pettit Crofford of Shenandoah; a sister, Penny Morris and husband, David of Stanley; two nephews, Glenn Morris and wife, Mychele and Jesse Morris and wife, Priscilla; great-nieces and nephews, Megan, Bucky, Aaron and Kayden; great-great-nephew, Greyson Glenn; special friends Timmy and Connie Finch and Danny Breeden; and his best buddy, Comanche, his dog; sisters-in-law, Priscilla Drucella Breeden and Gloria Pettit; two brothers-in-law, David and Layton Pettit.

In addition to his parents, two sisters, Eva Jane Creamer and Diane Kelly; and a brother, Christopher G. Crofford, preceded him in death.

Honoring his wishes, he will be cremated, a memorial service will be held 1 pm, Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Harvest Pentecostal Church, Luray, with Pastor Terry Cave officiating.
