Carol Sue Cunningham

Carol Sue Cunningham, 74 of Shepherdsville passed away with her family by her side Thursday, February 27, 2025. She was born in Fairfield, Ohio on Tuesday, January 16, 1951, to the late Harold and Helen Van Gundy. 

Carol enjoyed traveling, especially to Gatlinburg. She also enjoyed playing Hay Day on her iPad, and holidays with her family. Her gentle heart and kind smile will be sadly missed by so many who loved her. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 54 years, Glynn Cunningham; her children, Tim Cunningham (Mary), Neil Cunningham and Brian Cunningham (Marcy); her siblings, Denise Wilson and Wayne Van Gundy; her grandchildren, Brandon, Alexis, Tyler, Briana, Kyle, Mason, Olivia and Sophia; 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. 

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 South Buckman Street Shepherdsville, with burial to follow at Hebron Cemetery. Visitations will be on Monday from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and Tuesday, 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
