Carolyn Joyce Head

  Carolyn Joyce Head, age 70 of Shepherdsville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and James Chandler, and her sisters, Alice Fay and Linda Hussung. She was a retiree of Sam’s Club.

  She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Joseph “Denny” Head; children, Paul “Nick” Young (Cheryl), Joseph Head (Denise), Robert Head (Heidi Schultz), Denise Weiss and Chris Hoskins (Gary); grandchildren, Brendan Cubbage, Joe Vanmeter, Jason Riemer, Cody Bigger, Alik Weiss and Tiffany Drury (Michael); sisters, Barbara Holzknecht and Debbie Chandler; brother, Eddie Chandler; several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. A special thanks to her wonderful sisters-in-law, Lucy Dickerson, Aline Greer, Ernie Stanley, Marty Spence and Barbara Jean Head and her very good friend, Sharon Robinson, for their prayers, support and care during her final stage of life.

  Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville in charge of arrangements where the family chose cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
