Charles J. Bennett

   Charles J. Bennett age 77 of Shepherdsville returned to his Heavenly Father on Monday November 1, 2021 with loving wife and children by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Carrie Bennett, daughter, Tonia Bennett, grandson, Anthony Mitchell, son in law Terry Colligan and sister, Betty Woosley. Was a retiree of General Electric and a charter member of Church 502 in Louisville, Kentucky, and a board member.

   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 40 years, Phyllis Bennett; their children, Terry Donahue (Greg), Michelle Scholtz (Joe), Stacy Colligan (Todd), Jeff Peek (Christy) and Jamie Bennett (Megan); grandchildren, Kayla, Greg, Samantha, Sarah, Destiny, Emily, Elizabeth, Joseph, Austin, Abby, David, Noah, Natalie and Allie; 5 great grandchildren; siblings, Donald Bennett (Sherry), Morris Bennett (Barbara), Diana Rosenbarger, Rick Bennett (Susie) and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.

   Funeral service will be conducted at Noon on Friday November 5, 2021, in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Harrods Creek Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1 pm until 8 pm on Thursday November 4, 2021, at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
