Charles Wade Morgan Sr.

Charles Wade Morgan Sr., a beloved patriarch, and friend to all who knew him, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on July 24, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, Charles lived an abundant life filled with passion, adventure, and love.

A true family man, Charles is survived by his adoring fiancée, Linda Hardin, and his cherished children, Charles Morgan Jr. (Misty), Michelle Farris (Danny), Lisa Morgan (Bobby), Tonya Morgan (Doug), and Michael Morgan (Rachel); his grandchildren, Austin, Jordan, Alyssa, Jordin, Dylan, Carissa, Matthew, Kaylee, Emma, Natalie, Dillyn, Jake, Bentley, Hadley, Liam, Ripley, and Brenleigh; brother Jerry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Charles is preceded in death by his loving parents, Edward and Hazel Morgan, as well as two of his grandchildren, Kristen and Daniel Farris.

Charles was a man with a profound affection for the great outdoors. Hunting was more than a hobby; it was a pursuit that brought him serenity and joy. He also reveled in the showing of horses, where he found excitement and a sense of community.

A visitation will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 11AM to 3PM. A funeral service will follow in the chapel of the funeral home at 3PM.
