Daniel L Burden Sr.

Daniel L. Burden Sr., age 76, of Bonnieville, Kentucky returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 18, 2025. Daniel was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Musker and Ailene Burden on Thursday, September 1, 1949.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Burden and his first wife, Bonnie Louise Burden.

He loved being outdoors and that meant anything that he could find to do he did it outdoors. Daniel spent his time tending to his chickens, caring for his dogs and working in his garden. He also loved fishing and hunting. He was always building and tinkering with projects for his home and his animals. Daniel will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Carole Butler-Burden; his children, Daniel "Hot Rod" Burden Jr., William Burden, and Lee Ann Barnett (Tommy); grandchildren, Jessica, Charles, Austin, Lily, Kaden, Aaron, Jace, Weston and JoLee; great-grandchildren, Houston and Willow; his siblings, Darlene Larimore, Larry Burden (Sharon), and Kay Kendall along with a host of dear family friends.

Funeral services will be Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral, 285 S. Buckman St., Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 with burial to follow at Mount Eden Cemetery. Visitations for Daniel will be Friday, December 26, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 am until time of service at Hardy-Close Funeral Home. (Times for services are EST.)
