David "Ron" Thompson

  David ”Ron” Thompson, age 82 of Shepherdsville, returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, August 28, 2022, with loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Clara Thompson; brother, Daniel Thompson; sister Evelyn Barnes and former wife, Joyce Thompson.

  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Maureen Thompson; son, Kenneth Thompson; daughters; Lucinda Thompson and Tammy Thompson Ploof; brothers, Tommy Thompson (Patsy) and Phillip Thompson (Linda); sister, Emily Ford; stepchildren, John Montgomery, Cheryl Keith, and Peg Nixon; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with a host of other family and friends.

  Funeral service will be conducted at 12 noon on Thursday, September 1, 2022 in the chapel at Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville with burial in Knob Creek Union Church Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects from 1 pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Hardy-Close Funeral Home.
