Diana Elaine Hensley, aged 62, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on November 3, 1963, in Louisville, Kentucky, along with her twin brother Dwayne to the late Daymon and Freda Miller.
Diana's spirit was characterized by her deep Christian faith, which guided her through the trials and triumphs of life. She nurtured her soul and those around her with the same love and care that she felt in her relationship with her Creator.
She is survived by her devoted husband, David Hensley, whose love story stood as a testament to enduring partnership and mutual respect. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its milestones, always hand in hand. Diana is also survived by her children: son Bryan (Jessica), daughter Chariety and daughter in law Sandy (Robert); Grandchildren: Mercedies (Sebastian), Austin (Alli), Savannah (Jahnelle), Brayden, Jae and Achillies; Great grandchildren: Asher, Axtyn, and Allden; along with a host of other family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Daymon and Freda Miller; twin brother Dwayne to who she loved to pieces. This was especially hard for Diana, when "we" became "I".
Diana had an adventurous soul; her love for vacations, especially to the ocean, was more than a pastime—it was her way of embracing the beauty and vastness of the world. Friends fondly recall her tales of the sea: the echo of waves, the embrace of the salty breeze, and the sheer bliss she found in the simplicity of the sandy shore.
A visitation for Diana will be held at Hardy-Close Funeral Home 285 S. Buckman Street Shepherdsville, Kentucky 40165 on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 3-8PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home the following morning on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10AM. Diana will be laid to rest in Threlkel Cemetery.
